Portals is about  memory within an old home of mine. When I think of domestic spaces my mind remembers two locations; the front door and the living room. In the all the places that I have lived in so far the front door always opened to the living room. This is a start of a series where I try to remember details of the space just inside and just outside the door. These works have the doors being life sized and stand 9 feet tall and 6 feet wide. The important pieces of my memory were the colors and the shapes so I tried to push those aspects and create the fuzzy imagery of my old front doors.
